Root797703yEverything feels like work now, even things I should find relaxing. And when I’m not doing something productive, I feel like I’m wasting my time. I hate it so much.
-
@Root the sacrifice for a success.
We came to this and wished for that in order to be successful.
We can't stop it, because we fear we would stop running and would be left behind or would not continue. -
@Root I feel you. This is the kind of response I was looking for. Recently tried out one thing on suggestion. Set a specific time, and do - nothing. No actions of 'work' or 'active recreation'. Just observe the world may be (no devices).
Felt a huuge guilt at first, firstly of being unproductive and then of wasting time not doing stuff to 'relax'. Doing nothing isn't that easy when you want to, for some people like me.
Had quite a liberating experience after trying a few times. -
Yes, such days are called weekends. If you don't remember having experienced this phenomenon please look up "work-life balance"
</sarcasm> -
Every weekend, occasional holidays. If I officially have a day off, I am not going to do any work at all unless something in production broke horribly (and even then, if I'm not on call in our rotation, I'll ignore the alert unless nobody else is available).
