Microsoft Fucking Sharepoint for development

this rant scares me. devTea why do you do this to me? I thought we were friends.

We used to have to .zip code onto Sharepoint for version control because git was prohibited at our company due to misc unfounded security claims. (ie. CTO had never heard of git before === git is insecure).

CTO had heard of Sharepoint unfortunately so its 100% secure in his opinion….

I used to spend some of my days browsing random company data on Sharepoint. Found an invoice with my markup on it and was able to negotiate a raise as a result.

…Git was the least of their worries.

I work in a department that focuses on apps for SharePoint. I announced that I want to quit and I just can't wait to never interact with that piece of crap ever again as a developer.
Becoming an expert in SharePoint development might bring good money, but at what cost?
