adracea8928yL Of coffee/day , doesn't really make any difference . I just like the taste . What you drink doesn't matter , as long you have a clear head and a positive attitude towards what you are doing . Maybe the beard does...but that's a myth as well .
I also drink tea and water during the same day so... -
Generally I don't trust people who either wear suspenders or don't like coffee.
I don't know how it affects on the persons programming skills though? I suppose it could be untrustworthy as well 😜 I would double check the if-elses for all kinds of trickery... -
lotd79228yCoffee and caffeinated beverages should be used as a means of boosting mental alertness, waking up Imo :)
I rather drink plain old water as my default choice, keeping my body hydrated tends to prevent headaches. :) -
adracea8928y@lotd got the right of it , hydration is a big thing when taking productivity into consideration so...if you drink lots of coffee be sure to keep up with the water as well .

Grumpy28878yCoffee will make you feel alert if you're not used to it. This is because it blocks your brain's adenosine receptors, i.e. blocks the neurotransmitter that tells you to feel tired.
After a short period of coffee use, your brain will compensate the blocked receptors by growing more of them. Then, you will need coffee just to maintain the level of alertness you had before staring to drink it.
Fortunately, the brain will lose the extra receptors when you go off caffeine. How long that takes is individual, but for me it's 2 weeks. Probably longer for those who drink coffee every day. -
unjx20218yI think it depends on the language:
Java, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, C, C#, C++, shell, = Coffee
Ruby = Green Tea
Rust, Go, D, R = Red Bull or Coca-Cola
Python & PHP = Beer, lots of beer
Perl = Whiskey or bourbon, then some NyQuil
Basic, VisualBasic = Chocolate milk
Lua, Lisp, Clojure, Erlang, Haskell, Elixir = Fruit smoothies
Cobol, Pascal, Fortran = Prune juice
Assembly = Everclear -
debian1228yIt's just a matter of preference... whatever you drink doesn't make you more... or less... of a programmer... as long as you do great in your profession
-
@unjx lol, that matches me perfectly. Coffee with Java, tee with Ruby and Pepsi with Go
-
@Root I am doing this for most of the Big users, don't know why, felt like revisiting the history

I didn't drink coffee tea before. But now it has become essential for me. This helps the workflow and provides not only mental clarity and the opportunity to relax and distract. Now I'm learning how to make coffee at home, and it turns out quite well. The reviews on this source helped me choose all the necessary ones for this https://coffeezoid.com/burr-grinder... I hope that soon I'll become a real professional in coffee.
