jonjo9428yDyslexia does not mean you are incapable.. Just means you may have a few funky variable names in your code or something was not understood correctly. If things are planned and tested properly then what is the problem?

I've worked with, and actually now that I think about it been involved with the hiring process of people with dyslexia before. The person ended up being an incredible addition to the team.

iAmNaN68458yIn the US, a thing like dyslexia can not be considered in the hiring process. That would violate the Americans with Disabilities Act, and carries a hefty fine if it turns out the individual was discriminated against due to their challenge. It also exposes the company to a very expensive law suit, which the company would be almost guaranteed to lose.

If it isn't so bad that they have a legitimate excuse to get out of documentation duty, sure. Otherwise my distaste for writing documentation trumps anything.
