I have a saying that always gets me confused looks at work: “More is more”. What I mean by that is every time management asks for a new system, that system needs to be built, maintained, upgraded (code and infrastructure), etc. My point is that new systems are not free of cost after delivery. Am I alone in thinking that way?

I usually say that "new things aren't blessings until the deed is done".

Your thinking is bang on, but the phrase "more is more" doesn't really explain that, which is probably why you're getting the weird looks.

@AlmondSauce yeah, very good point. I’ll work on the phrase a bit. Thanks!
