As with all features, it needs to be researched and planned, then built, then it needs to pass code review, and finally it needs to pass QA.

If I skip 75% of the steps and just build it, you’ll be yelling at me a week from now when it isn’t just exactly what you wanted (or has bugs), and my coworkers will be yelling at me three months from now when they need to maintain it.
