Just realized my family's night time routine...

-Mom dad: watch Chinese dramas on living room tv

-Younger brother: watch Chinese dramas on his PC upstairs

-Me: watch YouTube/Netflix or read webcomics on my phone in other living room

Are all families like this these days?

No, that's only Chinese. Western families are not like this and watch Western dramas.

@Fast-Nop well I meant more like everyone is "watching tv" but separately

@rutee07 well actually I read Chinese webcomics but have Webtoons too though try to avoid depressing ones...

    Life's already too depressing...

I have a few per day.

@rutee07 for Netflix I only watch movies, much easier to judge whether they're good or not and well sitting thru a bad on only costs an hour at most.

Mine thing about phone is very easy to fast forward.

Only dramas I've watch are Lupin and Squid Games.

    1. I watch the anime since... a long time ago
    2. The hype

@rutee07 I don't really like the art style and yes these seem really depressing or gringy...

I used to read Safety Endangered but I think dropped it for the same reason.

I'm usually adventure, action, comedy, romance

@rutee07 the artwork was a big one.

Compared to subzero, I guess I like the more colorful ones.

I did follow Let's Play but dropped it recently... Sort of felt like it was going nowhere for last few chapters/this season.

Same with Tower of God, Hardcore Leveling Warrior... Just recently added them back but basically skipped like a year.

No one watches TV unironically anymore. Most of the time we watch stuff on YouTube, downloaded shows or movie or just have TV on for background noise.

It seems pretty accurate to my family.
    - My dad: Watching Chinese films
    - My grandmother: Watching Korean films on TV
    - My older brother: Watching anime or football
    - Me: Watching YouTube all day

@donuts yes. Me and both my parents are glued to our phones post dinner and everything is dead slient and peaceful.

Yea I think that's pretty normal. I watch a lot of the same shows my folks though so we just watch together but most of friends say their lives are more similar to yours

Technology is amazing but we use it for any kind of masturbation. We deserve a meteor.

@donuts I took this one from 人生自古誰無死 I changed the 死 to屎 for Chinese humour (n_n)

@donuts, If only you had a sister.
Your rant would have be like

Older sister : Watches chinese guys on tinder.

Younger sister : Watches herself in the mirror.

@coldfire and then the younger sister:" mirror mirror on the wall , why is always there's a wall?"

@rutee07 a heartbreaking tragedy set in Berlin about the time a bus was almost 45 seconds late to its destination.

@MM83 That would be Switzerland. In Berlin, nothing really works.

@Fast-Nop overall, Germany is a model of efficiency next to the UK. Mind you, so are most blocked sewers.
