Spend around 8 hours trying to adapt code I found on the internet to my problem, without success.

Spend around half an hour implementing it myself, with success.

Guess I should put more trust in my skills...

I'm still a toddler in python, but that even happened to me twice! People who write modules without clear documentation should be punished by the International Developers Police.
Also..., there should be an International Developers Police.

Did you learn anything from trying to adapt the code? (other than "don't do that", that is).

@brahn I learned lots of new methods while searching for the solution. The code itself wasn't bad, it just didn't suit my needs/made them impossible
