@useVim Head First Design Patterns is nice because it breaks the traditional formula of technical book.

The Prince by Macchiavelli. Helps with office politics where many devs are totally clueless.

Teaches about striving for quality and how it can drive you insane.

Just read The Pragmatic Programmer 20th Anniversary Edition and loved it.

“A Programmer’s Introduction to Mathematics” by Jeremy Kun.

I recommend this as James Foster, the senior director of engineering at Apple, suggested it to me. He said it’s a very useful book. Unfortunately I haven’t finished reading it yet.

Now, when I began to study something new for myself, I will need to put ordinary books on the shelf. I will need new books and a lot, I also think to sign up for courses.
