Yep, and they're suing someone for 'hacking' them

Once upon I time I would have thought something like that must be satire, but life taught me that there is no limit to stupidity.

in germany the Party CDU had an app that was for the people that went from house to house to convince them to vote the cdu. It collected so much data that even before the gdpr it would be legally impossible for saving all the collected data, but the apps send it to an server without any authentication for accessing the data. And when Lillith Wittman looked at it she found out what data is saved and it had no authentication of security. And when she did the responsible disclosure she was sued by the CDU. The judge said that what she did was no hacking and now the CDU has an investigation because of this.

@saucyatom yeah when I first heard it it sounded like a article from the Onion

@stop wow, I know the CDU is incompetent, but I didn't know THAT. Was that before or after Neuland?

@saucyatom all big it-news in germany reported it. Even the some normal newspapers had an article. And the CCC even said that they won't report security issues of cdu

@stop oh right, now I remember. Only had CCC response on my mind, not Wittmann. I'm not very good with names.

I'm so excited i just can't hide it...
I've seen it the other way around too. The blacking out just overlaying a sprite. Defeated by "display: none"
