Several hours ago decided to quit my job due to insane manager (more in the upcoming rants) without a new job lined up.

An hour ago I got an interview invite from Uber.

WHAT IS HAPPENING

P.S. Anyone working at Uber? Did you have to do much LeetCode? I’ve done two LC exercises in my entire life. Not sure what to expect.

Edit: Never applied to any Uber positions recently. So that’s a good start.

Edit: 10min got a call from IBM.

WHAT IN THE SHIT IS HAPPENING. I’M NOT THAT GOOD AND I’M NOT JUST SAYING THAT.

Sadly it seems most companies require algos. It would be nice to instead go over a project in GitHub or discuss ones you did in past jobs. But nope, algos. This is mainly a US thing. US companies love asking algorithm questions bc “we have to copy FAANG”.

Yeah, but you see, both IBM and Uber offices are located in my home country in Europe and in this country no one gives algos. 99% of the time you get an exercise project to do at home, which is reviewed afterwards.

    Will see šŸ¤·šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

@yehaaw that’s a much better way to test, tbh. Algos don’t transfer much to actual jobs

I wish I could share it, but I’m trying to remain anonymous here for obvious reasons.

    - Keep it tidy and pragmatic
    - Get your skill section approved by your previous and current co-workers

Honestly, just look at successful people at LinkedIn (CTOs and such) and try to copy the best parts.

    Best of luck šŸ¤ž
