@iiii 😂😂 sounds good to me

If pizza won’t work, they’ll try candy.
  • 24
Why complain, its better than threatening salary reduction ;)

@Lensflare will they come in a shady van with free candy tagged on the side? That's how I got recruited

I really hate how programmers are treated like overgrown children sometimes.

I hate more how many programmers go along with it though

I love pizza.. I prefer working from office.. I see no problem.. only pizza..
Where do you work?? Now I want your pizza... mmmmm....

Turning one's nose up at free pizza doesn't sound like maturity to me.
  • 3
@NotJeckel I think you missed the point
  • 1
Giving free perks is never bad, as long as they are actually free.
  • 2
@NotJeckel this happened to me as well. I’m happy to turn my nose up at it cos I have a 3hr commute. If they want us to come in..then talk about it like adults or just enforce it..not this free pizza ‘work is so fun at the office’ bs

We’re not? Does that mean I have to give back the play pen? Lol

I didn't know that eating pizza makes one a pedophile
  • 2
Nope, the only way to get me to go to the office is to offer a better environment. I bake my own pizza incl. dough so that's less than relevant and I also have a great coffee machine at home which beats most push-button systems, but I also own a laptop from 2012 and no external monitors and my chair is the cheapest the uni could find so it's not exactly a challenge to beat my home environment if you're actually trying in a meaningful way.

Pizza or not, but in my company, we often offer 2.000$+ laptops. It's still cheaper than augment salary and it motivates devs more.
  • 3
my boss literally said "we're going back either way, when they say we have to". you at least got a pizza out of it

Always fun when you got dietary restrictions. I hope they offer gluten- & lactose-free pizzas too. (Why I never go any social stuff at work, it just ruins it for everyone when I try to find something I can eat too. >.>)

    sounds delicious :)

It doesn't matter where you're working from home or the office.
  • 1
@lankku Yeah, one more made up snow flake. There is less than 0.01% of people with these restrictions (Talking about real, health here, not made up things). If you are in this catogory, sorry for you, but I'll bet m,y life that you are not.
  • 2
If this is the worst thing I would say you haven't seen actual bad shit at work then.
  • 3
@NoToJavaScript It's a fair bit higher than 0.01%, 5+% of the population is believed to have biological allergies AFAIK.
  • 2
@NoToJavaScript people make up being allergic to dairy…? Where do you get your statistics from? Lol
  • 1
@NoToJavaScript unfortunately, I am not kidding. And that's one part of the attitude I'm up against. "It's not for real, you're just making it up. Here eat this wheat like normal people do."

Just like I can suck up my Asperger's and act like a neurotypical person does.

@lbfalvy true, I have multiple friends that love milk or bread but that cannot eat it, or need medicine to eat it without serious discomfort or health problems.

They would be more than happy to nit have problems so definitely not made up.

    But it works tho
  • 1
Well if you don’t want pizza what about ice cream?

Works for my team.. my diet doesn't allow it so I don't care but my colleagues jump once they hear free pizza.
