This is a PSA in case anybody thinks of installing BitTorrent. I used it for thirty seconds and cancelled the download. Things were noticeably slufggish afterward. I ran Malwarebytes and it identified 22 viruses, all associated with BitTorrent. Before quarantining the viruses I uninstalled BT. When I quarantined the viruses I got the blue screen of death. I was able to reinstall Windows. NEVER DOWNLOAD BITTORRENT.

@electrineer I even looked online for warnings. And now I think I ignored those warnings. I was so frustrated with qbittorrent giving me weird messages that I was fed up.

I reinstalled qbittorent and it's worked fine since.

A message from my oxygen deprived life: my last laptop drownded last Wednesday. A mischievous diva wot lives in my flat did it again. Spilled a full glass of water on the keyboard. So, I ordered the exacty same one from the A-Z company. Whilst setting up the equipment I now type this from I looked for the queue bit torrent site and accidentally downloaded the bit torrent link instead, the one I went on about in the orig. post. Luckily I began to see that I'd downloaded the wrong one and purged the mempory of it, and proceeded to download the correct one.

I cannot believe that I nearly made the same mistake again. Oy vey on a warm falafel!
