    Yeah rust is coming, but only for drivers and that is just the prep phase.

    I highly doubt Linus would name anything "Windows".

    Though I highly recommend reading the codenames of the linux kernel. :)

    @sariel nah, I don't think some noname that suddenly decided, that it's a good idea to call linux distribution something with "windows", was ever a "chosen one".

    @zlice well, he can always choose like minded community as the heir.

    In the distant future, all binary callback APIs will reliably forward associated data in the first argument.

    In the even more distant future, everything everywhere will agree about byte order.

    Some time before the heat death of the universe, every messaging service will support XMPP.

    In the final event ever to happen, either or both of the US and UK date formats will die.

    @lbfalvy YYYY/MM/DD FTW

    @melezorus34 I personally prefer dashes, but I would stand behind this becoming the world standard if it meant we could get the US and UK on board

    @lbfalvy seperators are merely suggestions, I'm gonna put eggplant emoji as seperator in my next rfc

    @sariel hm, post actually mentions Rust. I'd give it some style points

    @melezorus34 going further, instead of putting one character in there, why dont we just seperate the blocks by the sha256 representation of the date instead of a slash.

    nothing like good quality shitpost in the morning

    ahh, God bless Am... emm, i mean, devRant!

    @thebiochemic Well, you will try to access a null value as date is not defined without being parsed which can't happen because the seperator cannot be calculated because date is null because deez nuts.
