Emails are still stuck in the 90's of webdev. Only outlook uses ms word as the html renderer, so it's even worse.

Gmail isn't much better though.
Why straight out HTML and even basic CSS (css2 would be enough) still isn't standard in email is beyond me. Someone loves to torture us.

@C0D4 why though? Why can't we just send plaintext emails? With attachments if we want. Why do we need to support bloating up emails, slowing them down, to fit logos, backgrounds, and other nonsense?
