Death is when you cannot tell yourself apart from everything else. Thus, the concept of “you” is cut away by Occam's razor.

That's it, there is nothing more to it. The biological aspect doesn't matter, as it's fundamentally unknowable according to Heidegger.

That said, DMT is probably a good way to experience death. After all, it is linked directly to production of a specific chemical inside your brain that is only present during birth and death. I never tried any drug whatsoever, and I think DMT is a very good first thing to try.

If you want to know more, google “ego death”. I'm not the first to think of what I say.

"I've never tried any drug whatsoever"

Alcohol & caffeine, even chocolate has a psychoactive component... How are we defining a drug?

Isn't dmt produced as soon as we sleep?

@atheist anything that triggers psycihal(wtf is correct spelling) addiction. Sugar included.

@aviophile in that case neither DMT, nor LSD, nor shrooms are drugs.

(translation: your definition of the word is silly bad)

My best recommendation is do other psychedelics before you decide to go the DMT route

@phat-lasagna I'd like to add that it's probably a good idea to start with half the normal dose for any new branch of psychoactive drugs, otherwise it will be completely unpredictable (which is NOT what it is meant to be), potentially traumatic, and ruin all the fun.

@lbfalvy also, are psychedelics even considered fun? I guess to some people lol

@Midnight-shcode it would be sillier bad if i chose formal definition: Any substance (other than food) that is used to prevent, diagnose, treat, or relieve symptoms of a disease or abnormal condition.

Then there is context of this post. Specifically we are talking about mood changing(primary effect) and addictive substances. At least I think so by intention in the op. Physical addiction is easier to classify sth as drug, otherwise love is a drug too.
