@12bitfloat the reset is what pisses me off, my life wasn't perfect but i was much younger more full of energy and without all this horrible background noise doing the right thing and getting a few things together and following the natural course of 'oh.. yes sick of not making enough money time to leave' would have finished by now, instead i'm in the 'shit gotta get through the winter, know i'll reach that point, surrounded by evil scum that previously started blocking my ability to find lodging at one point intentionally'

media is a very large concept. even if you got rid of digital mass media, you'd still have literature, architecture, spoken word, art. they are all media and they all shape society, while also being intrinsic to humanity.
