hope you all are enjoying your work life, so can you guys guide me as I am going to take admission in college and I want to learn a lot of things but kinda confused, can you guys suggest to me how to start my career in BTech and what skills should I focus on.

been awhile since i was in college for comp sci.

more recently it was psych and econ.

i'd say that depending on what you're doing you may never ever look at calculus.

you probably will use data structures to a point but alot of the basic ones are incorporated into most frameworks.

learn to handle bugs well :P

learn to organize your code into readable coherent units.

that last bit especially will earn you brownie points.

also learn to save your goddamn money like you may be constantly in the street and you'll sleep better.

What is BTech?? Just look at the college curriculum before you decide. Depends on your country as well.
