i guess im learning COBOL now..
didn't even know, this language still exists, and is alive until the Lead of the Department came around and asked me if i know that language, because they have a potential customer Project.

Others said, i shouldn't do it, but i'm also curious.

At the very least i will check it out 🦕

COBOL ought to be well paid, they say.

Any chance this weren't advisable, if the Mgmt in this ecosystem were bad.

    Nuff said.

If you want to become an independent consultant and make a ton of money then COBOL would be a good choice.

I really wanna learn COBOL. I'd just need a project with COBOL to be my incentive.

The banking industry uses a lot of COBOL and it's paid well, I'm told.

Is it COBOL.Net by chance? There is actually such a thing.

@fiftyhz im not entirely sure yet. Haven't gotten any details yet.

But i ran a bit of stuff on open-cobol and currenlty play around with that Mainframe thingy MVS Tk4- on Hercules, because i suspect it to be an ancient IBM System, knowing the Company in Question.
