I work my ass off for a month and deliver you the best possible design for your problem and a great booking system and you open up a dispute on the order stating the work I received was poor?

Everything is working beautifully, I uploaded it on a test website to even demonstrate it. The only problem is he is getting the error of mysqli class not found on his fucking potato server, that is not my fault! Even then, I am willing to install the php mysqli extension on his dick server so the fucking "script" works.

Some people just need a fucking reason to get away with good work done without having to pay...I will leave freelancing if the dispute ends up in his favour.

Fuck this shit. At least I get confirmed payment for what I work for 8 hours a day if I do a fucking job.

    And people still say there is no need for docker, because "setting up stuff isn't difficult".

    This rant shows exactly, why you need docker. So you have control over the target environment! And that is important!

    @heikomat In my experience docker is bad when it comes to performance. I can be useful, especially for Gitlab CI, but other than that, I think it's hipster stuff :D

    The problem goes further. Even if we use docker, clients would provide wrong info about their environmemt 90% of the time.

    Only use Freelance sites that let Freelancers rate clients, all un-rated clients should be treated with the suspicion they deserve until proven otherwise.

    "You and the buyer need to resolve the issue yourself by communicating"
    *yea duh! Like I didnt try that? Do you even go through the conversations even a bit?*
    "we see that you have delivered according to your promises"
    *umm ok so? thats it? You know that cunt is wrong yet you would not support me?*

    You might as well tell me "Hey bro! You and your buyer can both fuck off and we dont give a shit. We are making our 20% anyways eventually"

    Always sign a contract - Scope Of Work and Master Services Agreement. If they refuse to sign for any (and I mean any) reason, they have just done you a huge favor.

    Sometimes it might take time to sign a contract so Letter of Intent and SOW will be enough for the first 30 days.

    You can find some good templates for LOI, SOW and MSA online.

    Since I had started insisting on contracts I never had a problem getting paid. Aside from the fact that it protects both parties it is also looking professional and boosting confidence in one another.
