Have a guy like this at work. Look, I don't really care if you use wp. But don't boast and say your site is so awesome when you basically did fuck all yourself.

I am 50/50 about this. Some guys just install various plugins and deploy really bloated wesites. However sometimes you get a request to build an supplier portal that has multiple web services integrations that also need to work with the companies website running WordPress.

@Mobile I completely​ agree with you, that's if you after a blogging website as that's it's sole purpose. It's all about choosing the right tool for the job at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the majority, use wp just because they can and for a very very very basic website. Like come on, you don't learn shit from clicking a few button's in some web hosting control panel. 0% skill.
