I've heard good things about "Go", I see it more and more in companies' tech stack.
I've gone to its website, and OMFG I CANNOT HANDLE THAT WIDE-EYED BLUE PIECE OF GOO.

the ~ONLY reason (besides my staunch hatred of all things ewgle) I won't ever touch that horrid language is because of that ugly ass mascot.

    Ah so it's called Go because it's a piece of Goo

    Years ago many people thought similar about Java...
    Many companies still use it and it sucks.

    ```
    Oh little gopher, cute and bright,
    The symbol of Go's might,
    With your tiny paws and wide-eyed gaze,
    You bring joy to every coder's days.
    You roam the code with ease and grace,
    And never lose your cheerful face,
    A guiding light in fields of code,
    For all who seek to learn and grow.
    So here's a tribute to the gopher,
    The champion of Go's power,
    A symbol of the language bright,
    And all the joy that it brings to light.```
    ```A curious little gopher, with a mission quite clear,
    To help us all code better, and make our software here.
    With his cheerful little smile, and his tail held high,
    He’s become a symbol of the Go programming guys.

    Efficient and nimble, this little guy knows,
    How to make our programs run, with just a few flows.
    He’s always ready to help, with a twinkle in his eye,
    Making coding a joy, with the Go programming by.

    So here’s to the gopher, our friendly coding friend,
    May he guide us through the code, until the very end.
    For he’s more than just a mascot, he’s a symbol of our love,
    Of a language that helps us build, the programs from above.```
