Still, it surprises me that sangría is sold outside Spain. I wonder if it is actual sangría though.

@CoreFusionX I dunno. I tried some soda called Sangria and it tasted like wine. Then I found I can buy 4L of Sangria wine for like $15. It is sweet, but not too sweet.

That sounds to me like tinto de verano, which is just red wine with soda.

Sangría has sugar, lemon/orange juice and fresh fruit (usually seasonal, peach, pear, apple...) thrown in too. It is also noticeably more alcoholic (~4 abv vs ~6.5 abv)

@CoreFusionX the soda stuff was just soda, no alcohol, just had a wine flavor. The red wine I have is just wine, no soda. It is also 10 abv.
