Whenever I get to switch from vs code to a jetbrains IDE, I remember what the difference between a text editor on crack and an actual IDE is. Jetbrains IDEs are just such a blessing.

Visual Studio is still a piece of shit though :)

    It is great for its versatility. Especially when plugins are well developed.

    HOWEVER, vs code can not replace purpose built IDEs, even setting a gnu debugger is pure pain for embedded.

    Vs code remote development is still cool though, does JetBrains have an alternative?

    @aviophile as far as I know, JetBrains does have a remote solution

    compared to visual coder, it feels like brain with jetpack to get you anywhere in seconds

    @aviophile last time I checked, jetbrain remote development was really slow

    @devRancid It's Java so you get what you get, but it's really not that bad
