!rant Need advice. Been wanting to switch to Mac-based dev for a while and finally found an $810 new-in-box iMac 21.5" 4K with retina / 3.1Ghz quad / 8GB / 1TB bought new from BestBuy late 2016 but manufactured sometime in 2015. Never opened. Any potential pitfalls with that and expected OS updates or dev tools?

Sounds like a good deal. I'm not really a Mac person, but I'd get it if I were you.

(Still have to say something-something Linux because obligations)

for example: sudo brew install node

    and install https://caskroom.github.io/

@heyheni thanks! I'm also using Kalabox.io with Pantheon.io for most development I do. Installing Kalabox and the required Terminus command line on Windows 10 Home is impossible due to lack of HyperV support. On Pro it's still not easy. But on this Mac I issued two commands and EVERYTHING was magic. Gonna get started with Homebrew and stuff next.
