World29687y@nblackburn I'm new to js. I hear its a HUGE thing. How easy/difficult would it be for someone who knows basic C and C++?
-
@BlurryFace5178 There is a bit of a paradigm shift because it's OOP model is non-traditional.
Other than that it's easy to pick up, it's just the tooling that adds the bulk. -
Root797797yWeb developer/designer who would rather do game dev/design. 😋
I prefer Ruby/Rails and JavaScript, but I can use pretty much whatever, and I do basically everything from design to DevOps. So, I say I'm a Full-Stack Rails dev.
Why? I've been bounced between jobs and frameworks so much idk if I have a specialty anymore. ☹ -
@BlurryFace5178 it's more simple, you don't need to work with pointers, most memory management is done automatically... just to name some

Right now I do distribution center work but I want to find something in either backend development or Linux server/security stuff :).
-
@linuxxx Oh and language, don't hate me but PHP and Node really. Still want to take a look at Golang though...
-
World29687y@linuxxx I haven't had much experience with Linux and am pretty new to all this new things. I won't judge. 😋 On the contrary, I wish I could code in as many language as you do
