And then I looked at the prices of the recent GIVI models.

@netikras I'm conflicted because the plastic top cases aren't looking great (go be charitable) on my bike, but they're very cheap /i/ relative to the aluminum ones.

The same model of the side cases costs 580€ WITHOUT THE BACKREST which is another 65€. Shit's expensive, man.

@saucyatom yeah, but as long as you keep your bike upright, plastic will hold. Looking from the functional perspective. And they look far better on some bikes than the alu ones.

Alu looks beautiful on an adv, but I don't want those shiny square boxes on my vfr 😁

@netikras Agree, but I ride adventure ;) and already have the alu cases on the sides. Aesthetically adding a plastic topcase would be a nono.. but let's see, I only got the bike recently and at least for solo trips I don't need it. Might be useful for longer 2up trips though.
