Do side projects, even if they're small. If you already have completed side projects, show them off. Employers love to see your efforts and eat that up.

I had around 15 projects I had completed before I started working for my company. My boss now wants them on his portfolio, is this a good thing?

@qbasic16 well they are more previous clients I completed when freelance. But he wants to add them to his company portfolio on the website. He says because I completed them before I worked here that he can use them to promote his company...

@dgtlss sounds sketchy to me... If you leave is he going to remove them from the site? Will he assign you to any client that hires the company due to that work? I would assume not...

Secondly: Do you personally want your personal achievements labeled under another name on the interwebs? If yes, then this is done.

If not: Tell your boss politely, that you don't want it, because it was your personal achievement and that you don't want to be abused for the gains of some company.
I even think this is illegal, if you did not give your consent. It is misrepresenting the company.
