The new company I'll work in told me that I have to use windows because they have an ad and Linux login does not work proper with it...

    We used ad to authenticate for Linux in a massive deployment. It's ldap so it should be able to configure it. Actually I think you could configure the Linux server to connect to and authenticate against active directory pretty much out of the box (at least out of the standard repo).

    For our large deployment that was using AD, we used something from a company that was bought by Dell. The name escapes me but it started with a v and might have been virtuoso or something like that. So it'll work but you'll need to configure it.
