@jhh2450 Well it wasn't actually that bad, I was on a flight from San Diego to Orlando (about 6 hrs). The person to my left was a friend, but I didn't know the person to my right. Anyway about an hour in I pull out my laptop and started working on fixing some bugs (as devs typically do). And the person to my right got kinda freaked out because of the code/terminal/linux and pressed the button to call the flight attendant. Anyway long story short I ended up putting the laptop back into my bag because I didn't want to cause any trouble.

@Devman That's it? What a fucking idiot. If you were using something like a mechanical keyboard, I'd understand. But really people?
I've got a 6 hour car ride early Wednesday morning. Likely gonna piss everyone off while coding. 🤷 -
DarKneT13127yI'm going to have 10 hour flight soon and was hoping to finish a pet project ( my own hackathon )
Guess that's not gonna happen 😤😤 -
@Devman Should've told her you were going to hack the plane and make it crash into a building.
Too far? I'm too fucked up in the head lol. -
Actually, i tend to agree with the bastard. The terminal is too powerful to be used on a plane. Maybe we could all agree on just sticking to windows if on a plane. Just to keep it safe for the mortal bitches that might be on it. Also, refrain from wearing black and leotards.

shiv3797997yTwo then you're a gouvernement agent currently fighting off a cyber attack against the plane. Make dramatic noises as you code. Sound intense. Finally end with a huge sigh of relief and close the laptop dramatically. Wait for the applause.

Dude, just switch back to light theme on everything and you'll be ok on a plane 😁 in the movies, light theme can't hurt anyone
-
I wonder if you could just say you're a writer and making the next Game of Thrones (you hope so at least) and maybe get a privacy screen.
-
OttkO6517yI don't want to sound like a bad person, but I don't think this could happen in Europe.
-
Just keep coding on planes and public spaces. So what if that makes them uncomfortable, they do things that make me uncomfortable, like being uncomfortable because Im programming.
-
@RakNoel so make it green on a black background. So stupid paranoid people can more easily relate to the seriousness in movies way better.
-
RakNoel6707y@pagongski once did, but in Norway the flight crew are genuinly smart. The lady went away with the flight crew for quite a while. The flight attendant came back, appologised and said she had been given a new seat further back 😂 on a in-land flight of fucking 40minutes...
-
@RakNoel haha. Well, jokes aside, how can mortals ever know what people like you/us are really doing on a black screen with letters they don't understand?
Your avatar seems familiar..thought i was replying to myself. :) -
@pagongski @RakNoel We need pics of you both 😂😂 What if you're each other's doppelganger? Lol
-
RYPTAR13227y@Devman you should have said, "We have reason to believe an S rank hacker is on this plane trying to take it down with a smart phone... Im our last hope of survival..."

Don't ever try writing code on a long flight. People LOSE THEIR SHIT.
