beriba8557yI don't get it. Why do people buy MacBooks to install another system. You can buy the same hardware for half of the price
-
@klopango Hardware-wise they're OK, and the build quality is pretty good.
Most Linux MacBooks are the result of company providing the hardware, and developer not liking OSX. -
@busuu lolno, this is a 2008 or 2009 macbook I got from my sister after she got a new one

I have to admit, that Unity was one of the most polished Desktops for Linux. After I tried KDE again, my opinion changed.
-
@ParkCity let him decide what to use. Ubuntu has a different target group than Arch.
I would use Arch if it was not so bleeding edge. -
@Scrumplex I actually uninstalled Ubuntu and installed Debian instead, Debian is so much better
-
PacRat39567y@Scrumplex i was suggesting something out of the box - Pacman and Apt both have the same level of effort needed to learn them. as for bleeding edge, it's a very polished "bleeding edge", you could say. Antergos/Manjaro both give you a pretty UI like ubuntu for installation, and antergos lets you pick from 6 desktops and handles all of the installation for you
