GNOME 3 vs KDE vs XFCE vs Custom Openbox vs Cinnamon

What would you choose?

I'm a lover of XFCE and Openbox. Sometimes even i3w

Yes i know it's a bit bugged but important stuff always works (for me)

I prefer KDE, but man, it's just so darn slow on my computer, so terminal and screen!

KDE but if I had a choice I'd go with Budgie. Love it so much!

I like XCFE because it's not so overengineered, but to satisfy the needs of the rest of the family I use KDE.

And I just installed Cinnamon for my parents, as it's the most userfriendly UI that I found for non-tech people.

But at the end for myself I don't really care, as I need the DE only for starting software, shutting down the computer and informing me about the status of my device (network, battery, plugged devices, etc) which can be done by any DE.

I prefer Cinnamon because it has Windows Shortcuts, which are fairly sane and easy to understand

Am I the only one in love with Budgie with paper icons? Looks so beautiful 😍

I'm a Cinnamon fanboy through and through: its simple,extensible and it looks good, plus it looks similar enough to Windows that i don't have to re-learn anything or re-orient myself :) (i'm not very proud of that last one, but i'm lazy to the core)
I really like i3 as well, but don't have much of a reason to use it

KDE for the most part. If you lack on compute power, use xface or cinnamon.
