I wish companies stopped doing interviews n just stuck to "u have X days to finish this test-project" and judge me by the code/design/architecture

Yeah that's how you get companies that extort unpaid labour out of Devs, unfortunately. But I do understand the sentiment.

The interview is to get a feel for if you are a Ted Bundy or not.

Low key I love those interviews. I am bad at Leetcode. I try and I try. I can solve easy ones and some Medium, but I have never been asked an easy question.

For take home assessment, all companies have given me 1 week to finish and it’s < 2 hours to complete. I have aced all of them. 100%. And I have gotten offers from all of them.
