@Nanos short time scammy profit doesn’t seem to pay off in the long run. How very unexpected! 😄

@Nanos I usually cancel the day after signing up, just to be on the safe side XD

That depending on the accrued debt, AWS will just shut your stuff down no questions asked.

    Or sue you.

Or send a bunch of angry Romanians to your place to break your legs.

@Nanos > "They explain that isn't how it works, and you must pay for the next month.."

or you cancel the day before, ask "Anything else?", they reply "No, you're all good"

Next month you get a bill for $24 (and the total is usually ~$3000) and states "If you don't pay blah blah you will not have insurance blah blah".

I think "Its a glitch, the account isn't even active anymore" and ignore it.

2 weeks later I get a letter in the mail from a collection agency for $24 and if I don't pay they will begin their wage garnishment process.

    Screw you Liberty Mutual.

    They'll cancel your account.

They could sue you of course, but that assumes the time and hassle is worth it (almost certainly not.)

People pull this crap all the time, usually for crypto mining or similar - and tend to use stolen or untraceable cards anyway, so they couldn't really sue in this case even if they wanted to.

@AlmondSauce Lmao. I never thought of exploiting amazon servers for crypto mining. These web3 people never cease to amaze me. The only thing web3 people think about is how to scam or steal money from someone

In reality they cut service and then the Amazon entity in that country would sue you for non payment. Your courts would be at their discretion of how to make you pay. In the US wage garnishment has been used commonly. However, if it is less than probably around 50k USD it’s probably not worth the manpower to do this, so they just ban you and keep sending bills

    Not legal advice / inal

@jeeper What tf they gon do over a 14$ debt payment that i wont pay

    @b2plane

Maybe putting you in a debtors file that will harm your chances of getting credit, a mortgage, insurance, Telecom services or others.

@b2plane potentially ban you and keep sending you bills
