A winrar license is a funny gift to a coworker or friend. You're sure he doesn't have it

@asgs point is that you don't have to pirate it right? The free version does its thing do you don't need to buy it? Thought that that was the joke

@retoor The free version is time limited, only that it doesn't try to enforce it. That was one of the reasons why I bought a licence although I already had a working, but illegal key.

Like @FastNop said, it doesn't enforce anything. Just a quiet harmless popup reminding you that the trial period is over

And it was the most wildly pirated software ever at some point. Every one was fighting to save a few tens of MBs on the Internet and it was so easy for the uploaders and downloaders alike

I use it daily, but I bought it as a joke.

One thing I also bought that was long due was an IDM license. It's like $20 for a lifetime. I pirated it for a decade.

I almost bought it for 9eur, but my discount link expired. Oh well. I don’t have a way of running it anyway.

Also, tar gz is definitely comparable.
