    He didn't have to open it, it's a housing from a DLink wifi stick. It has never been a flash drive anyway.
    So either a dumb fake or a very, very dumb seller.

    @ddephor it's not just some wifi stick but one with a Ralink RT73 chipset. Those were quite well supported on Linux and I used one of them since my laptop's WiFi was shitty back then.

    Wrap it up. Drop it in a large box. Pack it seal it and return to the place it came from. Also write fragile item 3 times on the box. TIT FOR TAT.

    @nickj The internet is fine quite trustworthy. Just like words they are a means of communication. People in general however are not to be trusted. They will do almost anything to acquire more power. (Money is a form of power by the way)
