If Jetbrains does _not_ release a new product every three months, a random employee gets thrown into an active volcano by HR.

But no worries, they have done it once again and are safe for yet another sprint! Say hello to Writerside, a feeble attempt to copy Obsidian MD: https://jetbrains.com/writerside/

    Product diversification.

I have heard the Name Obsidian a bunch of times thrown around, what does it even do? Like what's the use case?

For my part, I don't need yet another tool, to only be able to build documentation, if my regular IDE is perfectly capable of doing this.

@thebiochemic Obsidian is a markdown note taking tool, which builds on the concept of referencing other notes and making a kind of network or mindmap.
it is nice due to its strong plugin support and active community.

Also supports folder hierarchy of course.

I like it for my DnD notes.

@thebiochemic "personal knowledge management": imagine all your notes you ever took in one folder, stored as plain text (Markdown), searchable, with tags and ever expanding. The term "brain dump" comes to mind: code snippets, cooking recipes, diary, ... you name it.

@SuspiciousBug @Katakompe sounds like it made my own Ticket tool utterly useless then.
