Lyniven45597yRock / metal mostly
Arch enemy, fit for rivals, capture the crown, m.manson, icon for hire... -
Phlisg25247yCo-workers chatting, typing on keyboards, sipping coffee
Pretty melodic
But then I can ignore all sounds when concentrated, so no music (being musician, I don't listen to music just to listen to music) -
I am currently listening to Joey Pecoraro
But I also like solo piano 😃
Lofi hiphop is great in general
@jay00 I'm with you on 80s music 👌 -
@Phlisg I totally get that. i’m a bass player, and don’t listen to much, except for dirty loops.

John Williams' Star Wars and Indiana Jones Soundtrack because of lack of vocals.
Otherwise rock: M. Manson, Rolling Stones, CCR, die ärzte, ... -
Aiei4627yim not sure if its a genre but people usually called it keygen music. plenty of them on youtube.

I cycle between Ambient/atmospheric, lo fi Hip hop, smooth jazz, bossanova and then the casualties of cool, Ki and Ghost albums by Devin Townsend. devis Music just calms my soul. You guys should check it out if you are into ambient Guitar and prog metal because this guy does everything in between and beyond. A true musician

I actually tend to prefer complete silence when I'm writing code (or doing just about anything, which makes long car rides with me really boring). I'm probably going to have to wear ear muffs and a "tap for person" sign on my back when I get a job.

hell169547yMy most productive times where under loud death metal when I just wanna punch someone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Umm... anything in:
Romantic, bass heavy, metal, funky, instrumental, soothing
🤗🤗 -
cursee171597yAll kind of instrumental so from Beethoven to Nujabes to Allan Walker work for me. Also white noises like noisli.com on laptop and tide on Android
-
@fthielen Not much. I like how rawstyle is a good mix in-between hardstyle and hardcore.
-
Classic (European or Chinese) and often soundtracks.
I really like programming while remembering me optimising the wheat island in Anno or fighting against the dark tribe in Settlers... -
Boards of Canada (especially Music Has The Right To Children and Tomorrow's Harvest), Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxygene, Equinoxe and Zoolook in particular) and The Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Recently though I've been listening to the Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack 25th Anniversary version.
What are you guys listening to while programming? I really like classic piano sounds 🤔
