@BashouT I'm in New Zealand so it's a set from pbtech. I had a voucher I needed to spend and thought this would be a cool purchase.
-
That's going to be expensive, including any lost profits due to lost productivity. Is there some back up system?
-
Someone would inevitably answer:
Try sudo rm -rf /
Also, language processing would be difficult as everyone on the internet always uses the correct term, spelling, and grammar /s -

@HamsterOh Yeah, I tried to make a css file that just hides the last div on the page, but couldn't work out/be bothered working out how to add it to every page.

Trying to run Windows
-
@klekih you'd need to increase the price by 25% for 20% off to be the original price
-
Actually the result is 4% cheaper than the original price (1.2*0.8 = 0.96)
-
But how would anyone get to 500++ without some memes!

@MrEliptik because I had a USB camera that I didn't need so I installed motion but I had nothing to point the camera at. I found a clock that I bought a while ago but it plays music every hour, so I couldn't have it in my bedroom, so I put it upstairs by the server and the printer. I then pointed the USB camera at it. That is why I have a live stream of a clock. (I also made sure that the image time stamp matched that of the clock)
-
I do that too sometimes. 'It looks wrong, but it's not underlined. I'll just add and extra letter, and there's the line. OK, I had it right first time, just checking'
-
@endor add 'use of account' as part of the agreement, if you don't have netflix yourself
-
for $(price of netflix per month) each month, I will keep your account working

@shine does google hot link the image from wherever the URL points, or do they host it themselves anyway
-
@shine Ah, that would be a 'We can host 15 GB of your stuff for free but not a small image for your email signature'
-
https://xkcd.com/1576/
-
Anyway, where was this. Normally Google lets you select from google drive, upload, search, and paste a URL
-
I found several things like this on vacation. See the comments on https://devrant.com/rants/1978123/...
-
Buy a domain at https://www.registry.google/
Buy some hosting
Upload image there
And it's as easy as that!
Or, do they accept data URIs -
@xalys Ok not very important. A personal website, an unused blog, my home server on a wildcard of a subdomain, a personalised email address, and stuff like that. kiwi was the cheapest ($60NZ (30USD) for four years) tld that I liked. It's kind of a New Zealand tld, but anyone can purchase one if they want to.
