@webketje Thank you. The CTO is a complete moron. He fired all the senior developers and he brought in his own dev team. They’re not really developers that more like want to be interns. They respect me because I treat them well but the CTO treats them like trash. Because they are very junior, the only opinion was that new components are not compatible with the older version of the framework. I don’t know enough about react to even validate what they were saying and so I wanted the help of an expert do you want from here. Thank you for that

The term isn’t mutually exclusive. The only reason people upgrade to “senior” is because there is someone beneath them, not because they are any better at their work.

@Codex404 I’ve been dodging it since I was 8. But that means absolutely nothing when you work professionally. Is not about when you stated but how my actual industrial experience you have. I’ve met MANY people who have made the same claims as you but in reality, their experience counted for absolutely nothing in the work place, in fact it had a negative impact as they were arrogant and u Illini to unlearn what they think they knew.

If you are as good as you claim to be, it is your own fault you are a junior if after being at a company for 1 year as you have failed to prove your value to your peers and seniors. Within that first year, it is your duty to suck it up, swallow your pride, throw away your arrogance and do the one thing you are hired for... to execute the vision of the company.

Yes, there are many “seniors” who are worth less than sh!t and they will get their comeuppance. But no matter who or what they are, YOU ARE a Junior so play the part well and aim a pay rise

While I also learn things from my junior developers, I appreciate the fact they are humble enough to recognize they are juniors due to their lack of actual real industrial work experience.

I always make sure my junior develops feel life a part of the team and make sure they are exposed to everything, so one day soon they will no longer be a junior.

There is nothing worse than a green junior, fresh out of uni who thinks they know everything. The true is 100% has 0% relevance. So top tip, do what is asked of you, and try to learn from the experience.

I’ve seen the same with Android users. Out of the hundreds that I’ve met, one LOVES Android and the others just hate iOS.

As for all the iOS users met, they all love iOS and equally hate Android.
