If you like reading get a hold of Der Great Gatsby. It's a book that starts out mostly in English and then gradually replaces words until it's fully in German
-
@AleCx04 the void has cookies and they are delicious
-
@webketje It can also be used to implement mixins by creating locally scoped class definitions from which you only "inherit" a subset of methods
-
@kiki I'm already a functional programmer by heart. I eat closures for every meal of the day
-
@jestdotty oh it is, it's just that it's a lot easier to see what funcitons a module exports when you have the source file open than it is to try and get code completion to tell you
-
@hjk101 well the issue is that I didn't write the test, my boss did. No wonder it failed if you give it the wrong assumptions
-
If you have any former coworkers or bosses ask them, if not, then ask your classmates or friends who know about your coding skills

@Gregozor2121 homo-icon-icity
Same representation -
@AleCx04 I've been in lisp for years my dude, I just think it's dope!
-
Our project manager used to work as a developer on an earlier version of the project and has basically memorised the project structure. Any technical question regarding the way it's bolted together is probably something he can answer.

Use yarn instead
-
Not only a new operator but classes too!
-
I immediately mumbled "and those who cannot"
-
I wouldn't want to revert a week from now when some hidden bug emerges from a file long deleted
-
@heyheni of course I am
-
@taigrr or 12th of May 2010...
-
Just code with the music blasting out loud.
If someone complains simply say you aren't allowed to wear headphones and continue with your work
Get some co-workers in on it so you aren't alone about it
Soon enough they'll revert the change -
@linuxxx features can be added via the build system tho
Someone makes a great library and you just have the tool download it -
@plusgut it's not exactly a repost if it's a screenshot from my own feed, now is it
-
@iam13islucky yes but everyone knows what you mean when you say Muggle :p
-
@byte that's the one!
-
@AlexDeLarge Go is pretty good too in this regard
-
Where I'm from, we call non-programmers "muggles"
-
I'm fairly sure I saw this in an xkcd once 🤔

People like him are the reason online security is so shit.
Everyone I know who doesn't care about security always have the same augment: "I have nothing to hide, so I don't care". They always think I'm paranoid when I tell them the implications of this sort of blatant lack of security...
This world, man -
@xalez mine or yours?
-
@xalez literally never had that happen and I use chalk every day
-
I don't get it
-
Gotta be honest, blackboards are much nicer to use than whiteboards imo
Doesn't dry up, always clear writing down to the last stump, and you're never in doubt when it's time to grab a new piece
