@PurgeXenos Over my years on the Internet, having made my own mistakes since a wee tyke, I have pissed off all sorts of people from many different places over the web and to this day, I still cannot comprehend how anybody can get a political post of theirs deleted on social media such as Facebook or Twitter unless they’ve posted something extremely fucking incorrect and stupid, and this is coming from someone who hates cancel culture too.

Good
-
Buying a 128GB model was the biggest fucking mistake of my life.
-
Oh I love random boxes of shit!
-
I fucking hate JavaScript so I’m just going to stick with Angular because at least I know that fucking works the way I need it to when I do need to use JavaScript.
-
Wow, this is a site that is not written with arcane technology from 1998 geocities.
-
Former pre-med and trained pharmacy technician turned software engineer in the health insurance industry, whaddya wanna know?
-
@Ma30h Engine? Couldn’t tell ya, but I’m using MonoGame to build my engine.
-
This is probably one of the reasons I went with MonoGame. Didn’t like their sprite system and I had to make it backwards compatible with another format anyway.
Unity’s great but like Unreal, it has so many features I likely won’t use for 2D stuff I want to do. -
@Alice that you have to know their face in order to do it
-
@alice already stated the problem with it, go her!
-
Pretty much as long as I’m awake, which is quite a lot considering my insomnia that gets way out of control when I don’t have my medication.
I code both at work and in my spare time. -
LMFAO
HOW -
Fucking Eddie Murphy’s Law
-
@d4ng3r0u5 That’s why it’s important to have what’s called a “fuck you fund,” so you can afford to live for a while when unemployed.
-
@Stez What seems to be the problem with the floppy? Could just be a simple head reposition + some new lubricant. Worst case scenario, you have a few belts to replace, but that’s also pretty simple. I’d look into some videos on how to repair old floppy drives.

KITTY :3
-
It looks like a cockroach mating... ew... the fuck were they thinking?!
-
I actually make condescending error messages in my game engine. Like if someone hands it an unsupported texture format, it goes “And just what the hell do you expect me to do with this?”
-
Duuuuude
-
Mine told me 2MB and it turned out to be 2GB I was like WTF?
-
Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
-
@coffeeboo All the engines seemed too bloated for my purposes, and I require compatibility with certain formats which I wasn’t sure i could do in Unity. I was most likely wrong but I’m in too deep now to scrap everything I’ve worked on in favor of a Unity or Unreal base.
Plus it’s 2D, and at the time I started, Unity2D wasn’t that great. Since then, Cuphead has been released. -
Debian!
-
This hurts me to think about.
-
@demortes Oh no, this is C#, which is the only damn language I know of that can switch on strings.
And it was a TOTAL MISTAKE TO LET YOU DO THAT BECAUSE IT LEADS TO PAINFUL SHIT LIKE INAPPROPRIATE DATA TYPES. -
@WIPocket Could be on a platform that doesn’t have playback speed, though Udemy has it too.
-
Switch to Django *shot*
I guess if you’re really bored, just start implementing. Best way I’ve learned is don’t follow the examples to a T; implementing their inane example website is always going to bore the crap out of you. Just think about how you can apply the lessons to what you want to do, and then go do it.
If you ever think it’s not applicable to what you want to do, skip and come back to it later. While I know you said “I want to learn as much as possible,” trust me, you’re really not going to learn much if you have to force it; there’s no shame in not knowing something. -
I was honestly just considering this myself. While it’s not cool, there’s really not much I can do.
Besides, what’re they gonna find it on me? That I have a catgirl waifu, love big boobs, and shitpost? Oh wait, I’m already open about that and keep really sensitive stuff in my brain to begin with.
But I recognize the real threat of political manipulation and possibly sharing your *perceived* beliefs based on flawed, biased data with other companies which they may use to deny you employment and such, but that’s a separate problem altogether that I do not think can be solved because any company with an HR person with an IQ higher than a gnat is smart enough to come up with any excuse to hide their true intentions. -
Well it’s not important
