@bezorp I use linux on my laptops all the time. Only real reason i stuck to windows on my main machine was games (and in this case Sea of Thieves which is UWP and the only reason for the VM)

@fuckwit On a linux host its possible with vfio and abusing modprobe. Check the github link above. You do need to load a custom rom for the VM so it doesnt try and reinitialise.

It might be a permissions issue as most linux boxes can block you using those ports even though they are "open". SeLinux might be the culprit as well. (that is if php is the dns server and not something like Bind)

@JohnScott They cant really do a hardware revision as the exploit is with the Nvidia SOC and not how the switch uses it. Guess they could disable Recovery but that can cause more problems for them.

I used to enjoy it but my fondness of it is dropping after update after update. Especially the last batch which reset nics with static IP's and april update which makes it so i cant actually RDP into ANY machines on a lower update version than me. Also Bash on windows isnt all that good.

@Kimmax TBH never had an issue, and 6.7 has fixed literally all the issues i had with the web interface. Problem we had was the PSCbox had a hissy, we did the normal things, rebooted the VCA for that DC, BUT what we didnt think of is rebooting the other VCA (which we should of done). After a log cleanup on the PSC and nursing that back to health and then a full reboot of both VCA's after psc was up and fully running it was back to being happy.

I used to work as a DC engineer building and maintaining servers and set up a KVM for a nice server and literally watched the customer type in "cd [dir] && rm -rf /".
