Looks like I get to be the hero now. -
What, none of y'all just put that thang in the mf dishwasher?
-
@lidiko It adds charm.
-
@orseji
We use numbered blocks
10000-
20000-
30000-
When methods meet to go in-between they take the half. Works okay. -
@sbiewald If it was consistent I wouldn't care. But we have several multi thousand line program that sometimes omit the end if and sometimes use it.
-
Hey man this kind of thing is temporary. You are dedicating yourself to school which shows good dedication skills. You have what it takes. Try not to let this get you down. Better things can be on the horizon. Good luck!

I'm just that amazing. I ooze SEO.

Will it increase performance for HTML5 RuneScape GAMING?! Honestly can't even play that game without hitting that 144 FPS. That lag time is killer without it.
-
Tsk tsk. Too much pr0n on desktop?
-
Throw the keyboard against the wall and it will transpile to typescript
-
Same. COBOL ftw
-
@SukMikeHok How is accessing a database "for the big boys".

Your wife work for Linus???

Just make sure the money is there. Look into income based apartments. If you're lucky you can get em real cheap.
I guess I had a bit of a different experience than everyone else. I got my Dev job, which I went after agressively, right after I got an associates for college. 4 weeks later I moved out of my parents at the age if twenty. No problems since -
I keep nearly everything on some sort of hosting, ESPECIALLY my code. If a hard drive fails or I lose widows for any reason it really doesn't mean anything besides the time it takes to set it all back up
-
Def me. Literally like "what the fuck is going on in doing terrible." Last review I had I got promoted for my "obvious skill and dynamic learning capabilities." Was like "bruh I literally just listen to post-hardcore at my desk and cry"
-
I used a mechanical for a long time.....still do with certain games and I dont notice any major performance bottlenecks as far as fps goes except for the obvious scenarios of loading new stuff in on the occasion....I would do as suggested and reinstall Windows and make sure resource hogging services are disabled.

Always tell people that I like PHP because all I'm thinkin bout is that sicc cash $$
-
The point is the real world.....not everyone gets a job at a startup writing apps in the top 10 BuzzFeed JavaScript libraries. There is pleeeeenty demand for developers with experience in older languages/language versions to upkeep legacy systems that support multi hundred thousand/million dollar enterprise services. Asking a company to spend millions to overhaul a current system that is already generating ample revenue is not always feasible. That's where the value of being able to work on legacy systems come in. And say that they do decide to make a change. There's not allot of worth in trying to convert something you don't understand.
-
A large part of my company's codebase is in COBOL. Legacy systems still need support.
-
No. The commercial version has a trial. The open source version is free of use. Keep in mind the licensing restrictions though if you use the open source version on software you publish
-
I think I'd just go back to bed
-
@rytivei By all reasoning then the argument should not be up for debate :P
-
You don't get all the features but there is a free version of Qt
-
I prefer Newton's Flaming Laser Sword
-
@FrodoSwaggins Java still remains the top language on the TIOBE index as well along with C
-
Node.js is definitely.....relative. Laravel is a good framework in PHP though. In my opinion it's easier to learn the MVC pattern in Laravel as well. The same can bet said about .NET core as well. Depending on the complexity I would consider those options as well

I use PL/SQL frequently at work. Our batch process has several PL/SQL scripts that perform various tasks. It took a bit but I'm very fond of it. SQLDeveloper will let you debug it against an Oracle DB. It runs it as an anonymous block. Very useful.
