				    Today I was working on a laptop. I needed to uninstall a program because i had to install the newest version of it. That process usually takes 2 hours, but 3 hours passed and the uninstall was still at 35%. I went on the task manager to see if I could figure out what is running on the laptop, that's when I saw this.... This laptop has been on for 314 days. This cannot be a normal thing to do on a laptop specially when running Windows. Why do this? 7 7

				    Me: So I'm going to study CS.
 Dad: Are you going to be an engineer?
 Me: Well I'll be a software engineer!
 Dad: ???
 Me: I'll write software for computers.
 Dad: So you're not going to really be an engineer? So you are going to waste your life on those stupid computers... What did I do wrong.

				    Sitting in an introduction to C++ class (I've been programming for 5 years but every job wants to see a degree even if it means taking boring intro classes)
 I see the professor write code like this....
 First: Ever heard of break;
 Second: I know it's not wrong to write it like this but ever heard of spaces!!!!!!! 12 12

				    Am I the only one who hates cable management like this with zip ties? When one cable needs to be replaced you have to cut a bunch of zip ties and re-zip tie everything! Use Velcro!!!!!!
 (I know it's not a dev rant but my old IT self came out) 6 6

				    Have been working on a project for a year, something that wasn't out yet, and I am very close to finishing it... Just heard that a company has been developing the software for two years and is about to be done. #FML5
