Sigh, I have this terrible habit where I make and run my code in the same command. I'll spend an hour wondering why my bug fix didn't work and it's because the make never succeeded, but the code runs anyways. 😒😒😒

noob misconception #527: during my first hackathon i didn't know what version control was (i thought github was this magical elite hacker tool), so id copy my code into a google doc every few minutes along with a timestamp 😫

noob misconception #378: during my first internship the summer after my freshman year, i was under the impression that if i used 1000 threads, my job would finish 1000 times faster. needless to say, my machine crashed in a second, and my manager thought i was an idiot when i was surprised it didn't work

me: "ugh frontend is so stupid, i wish i only did backend"

also me: "i should be working on backend, but i just added some dopeass icons to my website"

manager: "you wrote all your code in java, but i really prefer reading scala 😔"

me: *uses intellij to convert all my java to scala in two seconds*
