@dfox What does your release cycle look like? What checks do you do?
-
Trailing commas are good because they make much cleaner diffs.
-
Post a link to the question! I'm at 3k+ atm.
-
Emmet has an option to include some math in your snippet, with an increasing index.
If I had written this, I would have used a vim macro with Ctrl+A.
But then again, I wouldn't have written this... -
Usually Ctrl+L works for what you want to do. It selects whatever's currently in the search bar.
-
The nightly build should be on the main branch soon so they'll get it eventually. Most people have their browsers on auto-update.
-
@shellbug Try downloading Firefox nightly or Developer Edition and see if it also happens there. Chances are it won't, the CSS engine was built anew.
-
Did you file a bug report? Firefox is open source. Also, was it on Quantum or on the current engine?
-
Yep they are pretty weird. They're supposed to mimic the Ampelmann from Berlin.
-
@Mitch377 Direct quote from the website: The weaknesses are in the Wi-Fi standard itself, and not in individual products or implementations. Therefore, any correct implementation of WPA2 is likely affected.
-
i3 + tmux + vim + j4 modified dmenu
-
@brainzeat I can rantity rant too
-
What's the problem? Do you really need to learn all of them? Why are you complaining that your industry is fruitful and there are passionate developers working to make your life easier?
And why are you mad with the recent grad trying their luck at building an app with a framework? It's called learning for fuck's sake. -
Our man hasn't pronounced himself in a while has he...
-
But Linux is so wonderful... D:
-
@kunaldawn I am using Arch Linux so I might have it earlier than other distros. But it should come soon if it's not there already.
-
@kunaldawn Just update cairo to the latest version. Here's mine:
$ pacman -Q cairo
cairo 1.15.8-2
Have fun! :) -
Do your project managers tell you what to do with your code? They're supposed to specify features, not implementations... maybe you need to check your position as a developer.
-
Happens. Eventually you'll find something that beats the crap out of the competition. For me it's i3 + tmux and some custom theming, everything on the Iosevka font.
-
Wait until you switch to vim. Then you'll be like:
- Look ma, no mouse! -
Spot the Rick&Morty stickers :)

@erik404 I haven't taken any. The Rust Programming Language (i.e. the Rust Book) followed by the Rustonomicon should be more than enough to get you started. Both are installed when you install rust :).
-
@erik404 Thanks!
-
Your time is too valuable to spend it with her.

@jAsE I meant devs are economically in demand in many countries. There are more positions than available devs.
-
I don't think that has anything to do with age. Devs are in demand in so many countries.
-
AFAIK it's only actually easier to learn stuff when you're younger than five. So stop with the excuses and just start studying.
-
For that price range the most important factor is the storage. Get a good SSD and it doesn't matter what the rest is... maybe except for RAM.
-
The good thing about reinventing the wheel is that you can get a round one.
Douglas Crockford -
Surprised nobody mentioned Rust.
