@thmnmlst thanks
-
Well... they said diversification is important in business 😉
-
@thmnmlst i got "add a store" request once. Client was very upset that I wanted to bill her for installation and configuration of WooCommerce as an extension for her blog. She was trying to get discount telling me that she doesn't want a store, she claimed to want 'a blog with a shop' which - for her - isn't a store and shouldn't cost that much.
-
@Letmecode the problem is the ones telling things like this are the ones who don't want to pay for the job. They really think it's a quick change. When I tell such client that it would be xx$ for yy hours, they think I tried to cheat them.
The problem is when a boss forces to deal with such clients. It ends for us (team) working half-paid for such client :| -
Who is PO?
-
@yarwest thanks. I'm already looking for the new job. Just wanted to shout it out to feel better, not being with this alone. Thanks for support.
-
@mhall mine just shows his power this way so we feel we have to do more and more just to keep our jobs :| he is not available for us, we have to deal too much things on ourselves such as dealing with payments from clients. He just want to have as much free time as it is possible and gets mad when he has to do something he didn't plan to do himself (like dealing with clients who don't want to pay etc.)
It's like we were freelancers who do everything on their own and he just want to take his cut of income, doing nothing :| -
@nicnaknic it won't work like that. Such bosses are fucking monsters and treat employers like RESOURCES not people. If you're not good resource, they won't try to help you be better, they would rather to fire you.
Been there :| -
@guss77 well I didn't even think about buying games directly. Good idea.
-
Nice. Good luck.
-
Nice said.

Early adopters always pay the highest prices. It's the cost of being the first. But we need them. They run the progress. They pay a lot for new things which makes them cheaper to produce so more people can buy them.
Of course I don't mean the one in the post should be called progress. It's just more like a mistake. Especially with the lightening in iPhone while putting USBC to Mac. -
@jiraTicket Nope. First thing to do is to set dark mode. Just feels more comfortable.
-
It's all about look and feel. I love Gnome, especially the old one (MATE nowadays). Elementary OS is also nice. Windows for me is like made for money... only. It doesn't have any cool features that makes you feel nice to use it. It's a product made for everyone. It's like a pop culture. In most cases lowering standards gives money because the product is better understood by masses. Windows for me is just a low quality product.
MATE, Gnome 3 or elementary are just comfortable to me. That's all. I think macOS is also cool and nice to use. But an Apple computer costs a fortune. -
Nice. Where do you buy games for Linux? I like to use GOG.com as I feel it is run by passion and it's Polish company so I'm proud of it.
Lots of additional stuff added to games such as wallpapers or soundtracks. So I feel like in 90s. Good old times when a game was delivered in a big box with some nice stuff inside. -
Installing apps. Do people still ask about that?
...Now I see I have no non-IT friends. I used to in the past and they wanted me to help them with such easy tasks. -
8. PROFIT!
-
@YoungWebRebelz people think it's easy and quick but we're the ones who just know how to make these things happen. It's like "it's not difficult, I just need you to do that because I don't have time to learn that programming stuff". The same with graphic designing. Just a few clicks, Photoshop makes the whole thing, right?
... :| -
What's i3?
-
I have never worked at an office in my whole life. Remote working is extra.
Are you an introvert? If so, it'll be a good change I think. -
Sounds fun 😉
-
I work remotely on desktop. Best value for the price if you don't need mobile computer. I don't do business trips etc so laptop is completely unnecessary for me.
