@Sid2006 I didn't mean it in a corporate sense. By knowledge
For eg: some stupid bloke in my team who uses the words java and javascript alternatively randomly flexes how he can center divs and gains cheers and spotlight while i write production code in typescript and don't tell a soul about it
It's like they glorify their silly achievements and whatever god level shit you do is hidden on purpose in a way -
@azuredivay lmaoo
-
@Hazarth dynamically typed crap meant i was was reffering to JS and i said coming from cpp/java(which are strongly typed and static), typescript feels like a boon
-
@Nanos It depends on a lot of things
I personally think after a few years of work you definitely can save serious amounts and retire in 15 years.
But if you are selling your soul for flex culture or "my friends are getting married so I'll marry someone too" mindset, then you're done
My dad says:
"The job always feels enjoyable when you don't need the money" -
@retoor so true
I cannot see myself doing anything other than tech at this point, i just fucking love it. So much to learn like dadfjadjfjaldj ojojfokvnnniewhrigf
I just typed that garbage out of sheer excitement.
Learnt about ssh yesterday and my brain was blown away.
I hate how it has become a gold rush and people don't value it anymore and look at it as if its just another job that somehow pays well -
I fucking wait for my PR to get reviewed everyday and the maintainers show up only after i forget about the project
-
Literally feeling it rn
I won't be able to recreate the projects i built myself in the same manner as i did during the first iteration -
Ya man i pray i won't stay in this phase for the rest of my life, i will never be happy this way.
But for the next 5-10 years until my 30s i'll be balling with this for sure -
@retoor ya ik i wasn't raised right
-
@CoreFusionX ya man async await saves lives
-
@pogriella bro neofetch is such a handy command!
Tried it just now, thanks a lot -
I don't want anything other than the wallpaper on a desktop, maybe just me ;)
-
@retoor i meant open source.
i contributed to the habitica rpg apidocs -
@Ranchonyx no bro it is a folder inside home but my rm-rf nuclear missiles were probably directed to to the home dir instead of the home/~
-
Ya man its the most annoying statement
i use chatgpt to debug small errors, but there are some delusionals out here who think they can outsmart people who grind their asses on courses,docs and projects by using some basic ass chatgpt prompt -
@TestInProd423 Ya i did it this time as well, shared the repo link on 15 april and one of these guys messaged me yesterday saying he doesn't really understand GitHub and sent me this 200 lines of ai generated code to somehow insert into mine
As if I'm gonna do that -
Bro there's this fucking folder in my home directory which is named ~ and i cannot fucking delete it without root permissions.
i did rm -rf ~, and the fucker deleted my entire home dir.
I haven't touched that cursed ~ folder since then -
@netikras Nah man i am not worrying about getting a gf right now at all.
I mean if i even do get one who is beautiful, i'll still be a worthless man with a beautiful girl and still be insecure about her leaving me anyday. I'd rather be a fucking millionaire with zero bitches instead cause i can be sure of myself and my worth in that scenario.
