So... I like 30 seconds of code! And I like the idea of it tbh, I was thinking about something like before.
The question is, how bad will it be if I do a similar website but in my native language? 🤔
I don’t want to be a copycat .. but its really good idea for sharing knowledge and to help other programmers. -
Stress in work, pressure that you are failing. Don’t worry, live the bad days until you reach the good once.2
-
That moment when you fcked up in a technical interview and realize oh I need to sharpen my skills, I need to improve my skills! I am not a worthy programmer now 💔
Then you go to work next day and have a busy day working as a project manager!
Now I know why my skills got rusty, and am not able to code as I used to be 😭😭😢2 -
Do people get emails from Amazon, saying you already applied couple years back but
there was no luck, but hey we have these jobs now, are you interested?
Or this is some kind of scam 🤣6 -
I am not sure if I am a lucky ass or fucking dumb ass!
Almost a year ago I started my current job in the banking industry as the 5th job in my career.. now days a guy from a cryptocurrency company located in the country next me - 1 hr drive - is asking me to join their team.
Am not sure if I should take the chance or stay where am I since its stable and there is “promises for improvements”5 -
I had two mentors that changed my life.
The first one I worked with him for 1 year and half. He made me a better programmer, and increased my knowledge in backend.
The second one I was only able to learn from him for about 3 months, but he expand my knowledge and I was able to learn new languages.
Now I am on my own, but would be happy to work for them again! -
I pulled a lot of all nighter when I was in university, it was so easy. But its been couple years and I don’t even remember how I did it.
-
1. More experience in programming to reach the next level!
2. A job in the USA!
3. Will leave it for a complicated bug to wish it be fixed lol4 -
First day of new year, first day of relaxing until my new job starts .. Plan to travel and not code for awhile!2
-
My goals are:
1. Start my new job in Feb.
2. Overcome the challenges I will face in the new environment.
3. Learn, learn, learn
4. Don’t forget to rest.1 -
I have been working on a project for at least the last 2 months, during the development I resigned “last week”, but continued to work on it and finished it on time. Now, they want to the new dev to present the demo and I am not even invited to the demo.
Oh, please tell how he will present when he only have one day to understand the system? Or how he will able to answer their questions?5 -
That one line of code that you know the logic of it and you know what is causing the error, but you can’t fix it!3
-
That moment when you find the easiest part of the task you need to do is the one you are struggling with!
-
I have couple dev ambitions some of them are:
- to become better in what I am doing and get a higher position.
- to build my own product.
- to educate young programmers. -
Oh, my ex-senior wrote some code for uploading files in his last project lets use it! It will be easier!
Discover it has a bug and spent couple hours to fix it! -
I had a long dream about code .. I woke up serval times and still continued the same dream and continued coding didn’t and I didn’t finish it when I finally woke up.
I don’t know what the code does, and I never run it in the dream!!
Happy Monday I guess -
I was filling a questionnaire through SAP Ariba ..
The loading time, the way you can upload files. The tree structure of the questionnaire, and their date picker. Everything is perfect no struggle with it at all.
PS: I spent about 2 hours filling it and I am not done yet! -
Last week I got a call I thought it was a screen interview, but turned to be a technical interview for a job I probably applied for back in 2015.
Today, I got a call for face to face HR interview next week which is going to be in the middle of the day and the company is about 1 hour away from my home/work.
Right now, I am feeling good at my current company. Nice salary, only me and manager but we are hiring, and its close from home.
The other company, is a bigger company, salary is unknown, and working hours are less but if you count driving hours it will be much longer! And work will be related with SharePoint “0 Experience” and Web Developments.
PS: Both companies aren’t tech companies!
Even tho I am happy here, I have this thing inside me that asks me to change jobs and challenge myself learning about new technologies “Or technologies I have never worked with”!
However, If keep doing this I won’t settle and If I find myself stuck at a job I hate and try to move to other companies, they won’t hire me because I keep moving!
I hate overthinking these stuff,
and just need to get it off my shoulders!1 -
Dear DevRanter's,
Anyone is going to be participate in the Space Apps Challenge 2018?
Its going to be my first Hackathon :)2 -
!Dev, !Rant, but Design!
Young me was a very productive and artistic, I guess! I just found a drawing I made couple years ago using Illustrator. I think I was just starting to learn it by that time. Anyways, I just want to share it with you guys lol -
Couple days ago, I started working on online IDE using https://ace.c9.io/ .. All the functions they have are good, but documentation wasn't that good and I had to learn things by my own. I customized a theme for it to look more like atom lol, added snippet menus and some other stuff, but thinking about it the reason I started is that i saw Thimble by Mozilla and felt jealous because it looks so cool, and I want to make some thing like it.8
